Emeryville is a small, vibrant city located in Alameda County, California. It is nestled on the San Francisco Bay, between Berkeley and Oakland. A city of less 
than 10,000 inhabitants, it’s economic base makes it larger than life, with the emergence of biotech, engineering, the visual and electronic arts within the city’s square mile footprint.
The large business presence draws many commuters and shoppers. Combined with convenient freeway access and closeness to BART, this creates a vibrant urban fabric. As such, its thriving development and its recent review of its General Plan is the blueprint for the future growth and success of the city, based on the vision of its citizens. Previously, the transformation of Emeryville focused on the changes from an older industrial city to a modern mixed-use urban center.
